SR#268 & Retro Sketches #154


What a fun day of creating I had ~ knew I wanted a birthday card but didn't have a starting place so I went on a hunt to find the challenges that would fit with the Big Day stamp set ~ I found this great sketch to follow from retro sketches #154 
and then this wonderful color challenge at Stampin' Royalty #268  

 










I can't believe this is the first time I've used the Large Polka Dot EF ~ I fussy cut around the banner and used Dimensionals to give it some depth ~ coloured each letter in CAKE to go along with the color challenge and then added Crystal Effects to each letter ~ I am pleased with the finished card, but it does look much nicer IRL

    So glad I checked in here today to see this fun birthday card. I've been creating some lately too with the anniversary and birthdays this month.
    Your card is wonderful. I love the way you've coloured each letter a different colour and the fussy cut banner. That button is a fun addition and it mirrors these large polka dots perfectly.
    I'm so happy to see that you had some time to create.

Technique Tuesday, Adoring Hearts ~ #denisewillerton #stampinchezmoi #stampinupcanada

Hello friends and I want to wish you a Blessed Happy New Year!!!  A year filled with love, hope and peace!!! And I want to welcome you here, to the first Technique Tuesday of the year.  The call for this Technique is using the Brayer!  Oh boy, I haven't used my Brayer in years...so here we go!! Did you see this new Embossing Folder?  It's from the new Adoring Hearts Bundle and wow!!! what a Bundle this is, we have the Stamp Set, Embossing Hybrid Folder, and the Dies, that work with the Embossing Folder.  So whenever you have an Embossing Folder, that is Hybrid, well, that means you Die Cut and Emboss at the same time...Easy Peasy and AMAZING!!! So what I did was, with my Blackberry Bliss Stamp Pad, I inked Brayered the inside of the Embossing Folder, then carefully laid the Die into the Embossing Folder, placed a 6" x 6" piece of Basic White CS, into the folder!  Ran that through my Cut & Emboss Machine and voilà Stampin Dimensionals behind these sweet hearts and
